08-Oct-2007

Hello All,

The season starts this Sunday (OCTOBER 14th). Thank you all for all
your hard work over the pre-season. I feel that we are definitely
stronger as a club and have made strides to positive team/club growth
without compromising the talent level.

Having said that, here are some important topics that need to be
brought up before we start the season. It is imperrative that you
read through this and have a good understanding about each topic.
Feel free to ask questions if you don't.

1)  CLUB RESPECT

When you are out there, you represent your team and your club. Please
make sure to act in a manner that is befitting our club and it
values. As a club, we want to be looked at in a positive light at all
times....we want available top players to feel that our club is the
one to join....and as such, we will not tolerate actions that
conflict with these ideals. Please 1) always stay positive 2) play
with passion and competativness...but fairly 3) treat your teamates
and club-mates as family....(not sure how that will work in the 2
SBFC FUSION v SBFC SPARTA games....HA HA). We will not tolerate
manager, teamate or ref abuse, physical violence, etc.....Enough said
on this topic I hope...............

2) FULL UNIFORMS

You must wear your full uniform at all times. I understand some of
you have unique laundry habits or good luck socks, etc.....but we
need to always look like a team...for our sponsors...for our
teamates...for the club. This all coincides with the first
topic....unity! I know some of you have not received your
uniforms/shorts/socks...please let you manager know this ASAP...so we
can make sure they are at your first game.

3) PLAYERS CARDS

In order to play in the SDCSL you will need a players card (which
your manager keeps). Please be understanding that the registration
deadline for game 1 was back on Sept. 20 and quite a few registration
were turned in after that. These will have a 50/50 chance of getting
their card in time for game 1. Some registration were turned in the
last 10 days and the will definitely not have a card for game 1 (
Adam Lutz - United, Dayn Richardson - Fusion and Casey Robinson - United).

Please understand that card processing is heavy on the administrative
side and errors occurs...ours, SDCL and the CSA....so if you are not
eligible due to any of these reasons...please be understanding and
help us resolve the issue by providing whatever corrected items we
need...quickly!

4) TRANSFERS

The SDCSL allows 2 players to transfer to any team ( 2 up or down in
division) per game. One player may transfer 3 times...the 4th time
makes then permanent to the team they transferred. We will use this
strategy often to ensure we cover for low attendance or missing key
individuals. If you have interests in transferring on occasion, let
you manager know and we will see that we try to accommodate. Managers
- all transfers will have to go through me....I have to keep records, etc.

5) EVITES

SBFC utilizes the online invitation management tool - Evite. As a
player, it is your responsibility to help the managers do their
job...and that means ACCURATE and TIMELY Evite responses. All Evites
will be sent out by Tuesday 5PM by each team manager. You will have
till Friday 10AM to respond (NO EXCEPTION - we need time to get
transfers organized, etc....while players have access to e-mail and
have not logged off for the weekend). We know when you view it, so do
not ignore the invitation....give us a status....so we can work on
transfers, formation, people positioning, etc.

Thank you all!

Good luck this season....lets get some trophies!
